  • Patient and public contributors under the age of 18 years old

If we are unable to offer PPIE support, we will provide a response with recommendations that will support your next steps.

If you do not have one or more of the below documents, please tell us why in the box below, for example, if you are the beginning of your PPIE journey and are looking for guidance in how to involve people in your research. Please note that we may ask for further information before being able to review your request.   

  • Clear research plan. 
  • Plain English summary of research plan. 
  • Project summary. 
  • PPIE objectives. 
  • Stage of research. 
  • Working with People and Communities Summary.  
  • PPIE costings and budget information.  
  • Proposed role definition for the UK Sepsis Trust as PPIE facilitator.  
  • PAG activity plan, including timelines (Gantt chart). 
  • PAG meeting agendas (if available).  
  • Patient and public contributor documentation, including a plain English role profile. 
  • Patient and public contributor person specification, recruitment criteria, and confidentiality requirements.  
  • Confirmation of how research findings will be disaggregated by protected characteristics.  
Provide a main point of contact for patient and public contributors, who can offer logistical support as appropriate.
